Hunter Kevin Brotz with Get Bit Outdoors shares how he led a hunt to reel in a 920-pound alligator in Orlando, Florida.

A Florida man is celebrating an historic catch: the second-heaviest alligator on record. A 13 foot, 3 ¼ inch behemoth weighed in at 920 pounds. Kevin Brotz led the hunt. He says reeling the gator in was scary.

A video posted to social media appears to show two Sandhill cranes helping a young alligator cross a Florida road. Shannon Duke, who took a video of the incredible sighting, said it happened in Pine Island in Hernando County earlier this month.

How do you treat a 376-pound alligator with an ear infection? Very carefully. For the folks at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, it's familiar territory. One of their more recent patients was "Brooke," a nearly 20-year resident of St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Brooke visited the college for a "thorough work-up," according to a social media post.
