Disney asks judge to dismiss lawsuit

Disney is asking a Florida judge on Friday to toss out a lawsuit against the company’s efforts to neutralize a takeover of Disney World’s governing district by Gov. Ron DeSantis and his appointees.

These are the new Florida laws that start July 1

More than 200 laws, spanning topics from TikTok bans and concealed carry to amusement rides and transgender bathroom access, will go into effect in Florida on Saturday. 

DeSantis, Central Florida special district target Disney lawsuit

Gov. Ron DeSantis and a revamped Central Florida special district sought Monday to scuttle a federal lawsuit in which Walt Disney Parks and Resorts contends its constitutional rights have been violated amid a long-running feud with DeSantis.
