The prospects of a Pulse national memorial to be built on the site of the Pulse Nightclub, commemorating the victims, survivors, first responders, and those impacted by the 2016 mass shooting, appear less likely after the onePulse Foundation announced it would be terminating its lease with the current owners of the property on S. Orange Ave. in Orlando.

Monday marked the seventh anniversary of the tragic 2016 mass shooting at Pulse nightclub, an LGBTQI+ club in downtown Orlando, where a gunman killed 49 people and hurt 53 others – then the deadliest terrorist attack in the U.S. since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
