Orlando Magic lose key big man Moritz Wagner in season-ending injury
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Magic will have to work through yet another key injury in their rotation.
The team announced Sunday that center Mortiz Wagner will be out for the rest of the season after suffering an injury to his left knee in Saturday's match up against the Miami Heat. Later MRI results revealed Wagner sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Wagner has averaged nearly 13 points off the game this season off the bench, playing in all 30 games. He previously spent time with the Lakers, Celtics, and Wizards before signing with the Magic in 2021.
The Magic are already working through serious injuries to star players Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero.
The team is currently 18-12, which currently sits 4th in the Eastern Conference standings.
