LAKE MARY, Fla. - UPDATE: Joel Glass, chief communications officer for the Orlando Magic, released this statement:
"During the third quarter of last night’s game at Minnesota, Orlando Magic Head Coach Steve Clifford experienced dizziness and left the floor. After preliminary tests at the arena, Clifford was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and underwent further evaluation. Clifford was diagnosed with dehydration and was discharged from the hospital. He has been cleared to resume all coaching activities."
The Orlando Magic tweeted on Friday that the team's head coach, Steve Clifford, was taken to a hospital to be evaluated after he fell ill during a game.
The Magic tweeted: "During the third quarter of tonight’s game at Minnesota, Orlando Magic Head Coach Steve Clifford came down with an illness. Clifford is being taken to a local hospital to undergo further evaluation."
