Officials with the Orlando Magic say that they are continuing their efforts to revitalize downtown Orlando and neighboring Parramore, while also working to centralize the Orlando Magic staff into one downtown complex.

A planned sports and entertainment complex represents a $200 million-plus investment by the Magic and its partners. In addition to office and event space, the complex will also include multi-family residences, a hotel and a multitude of dining options.,  At the heart of the complex will be a central events plaza with the latest in WiFi, lighting, audio, and digital experiences.

The proposed office building, which will become the Orlando Magic's headquarters, will reportedly feature about seven levels of office space and will include new technology in regard to renewable utilities, security, transportation, digital infrastructure, and health and wellness.

“Like with the Amway Center, this has been several years of planning and working with the City to find the right avenue to add another iconic destination that will add to the core of downtown,” said Magic CEO Alex Martins.

The development, situated next to the Amway Center and just north of Church Street, is on the site of the old headquarters for the Orlando Police Department.

Officials say the project is now entering the phase of procuring tenants for the office and retail components of the project.
