JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Abry Jones and tight end Nic Jacobs have signed one-year tender offers.
Jones and Jacobs signed their contracts Tuesday. Jones will earn $2.55 million in 2016. Jacobs will make about $600,000.
Jones has played in 39 games after earning a roster spot in 2013. He has 64 tackles, 5 ½ sacks and two forced fumbles.
He says, "I'm just happy that they want to keep me here and they showed me how much they really enjoy what I do for them."
Jacobs has played in 24 games with six starts since signing with Jacksonville in 2014. He has three receptions for 24 yards.
Jacobs says "it means a lot. It's good to know that I'm wanted here and I can have a place here."
