Manny Martinez
Manny Martinez joined FOX 35 News in July 2023 as a reporter and weekend anchor.
Prior to FOX 35, Martinez worked at WBTW (CBS) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as an anchor and reporter. He covered Hurricane Ian’s second American landfall in 2022 and the suspected Chinese spy balloon shot down off the Myrtle Beach area coast in February 2023.
Born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Glenview, Illinois, Manny's love for broadcasting began in high school, where he was part of the school's radio and television programs. He studied broadcast and digital journalism at Syracuse University and graduated in 2021. He also has a minor in political science.
Manny is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
He is an avid Chicago Cubs fan and splits season tickets with a group of friends. He’s also a fan of all things racing: IndyCar, NASCAR and Formula 1. He goes to the Indianapolis 500 every year. You can bet he’ll be at Daytona for a race!
Manny loves to play pickleball and ride his bike in his spare time. Don’t be afraid to say hi if you see him on the streets.
