Alexus Cleavenger is a reporter for FOX 35 Orlando and a proud Central Florida native.
She joined FOX 35 in January 2026 – and is thrilled to be back home telling the stories of the community where she grew up.
Prior to joining FOX 35, Alexus spent three years in Jacksonville reporting at WFOX/WJAX, where she covered the deadly shooting at Florida State University, as well as the mass shooting at a Dollar General. She also extensively covered Florida's hurricane season, including hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton.
She graduated from the University of Florida in 2022, where she won a student Edward R. Murrow Award for her coverage on Hurricane Ian.
In her free time, she loves exercising, spending time with family, trying new coffee shops and cheering on the Florida Gators!
