(FOX 11) - Who do you trust to get you to the hospital? An ambulance or an Uber?
According to a new study, more Americans are using ride-sharing services instead of ambulances to get to the emergency room.
One reason could be cost.
Ambulance rides can be costly around two-thousand dollars.
The study says that a benefit of this new trend is reducing the wait time of an ambulance for someone who may need it faster.
But, medical experts warn picking a ride-sharing service instead of an ambulance could be a life or death decision.
