ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - On the morning of October 3rd, the exit point to eastbound Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) from westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) will shift to a new location, reports the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the I-4 Ultimate Project.
Together, they say that the new configuration of exit 90A requires motorists heading to eastbound Maitland Boulevard to exit earlier -- nearly a half-mile before reaching the Maitland Boulevard overpass.
Before, motorists were almost right under Maitland Boulevard when they exited westbound I-4 to eastbound Maitland Boulevard.
FDOT and the I-4 Ultimate Project says that exit 90 will handle all westbound I-4 motorists who want to use Lake Destiny Road and both directions of Maitland Boulevard. At the westbound side of this exit, signs will direct motorists to exit 90C (to Lake Destiny Road), exit 90B (for westbound Maitland Boulevard), and exit 90A (for eastbound Maitland Boulevard).
