SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. (FOX 13) - Even the toughest defenders and protectors of justice have their weak spots.
For one California sheriff's deputy, it seems to be snakes.
Deputy Coroner Amy Thurau, whom the Solano County Sheriff's Office describes as, "hard as nails and resilient" shuttered in fear at the sight of a snake found on a local road.
She seems to – somewhat - overcome her fear as another officer takes video of her pickup up the snake and tossing it to the grass at the side of the roadway.
At least Officer Thurau wasn't in danger of being bitten. It turns out the snake was already dead.
