12-year-old boy reels in great white shark during Florida fishing trip

A young boy reeled in a great white shark during a fishing trip in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The shark was estimated to be about 11 feet long and weighed about 450 pounds. The shark was tagged and sent back out to sea.

On Tuesday, Campbell Keenan was fishing off the coast of south Florida when he caught a great white shark.

The 12-year-old Massachusetts boy was visiting Fort Lauderdale when he experienced this catch of a lifetime.

Drone: 21-foot killer whale washes up on Florida beach

A 21-foot orca, also known as a killer whale, was found washed up on Flagler Beach in Florida. Unfortunately, the whale did not survive, officials said. Here is drone video shared by Flagler County government of officials working to remove the animal off the beach so a necropsy -- an animal autopsy -- could be performed.

A charter employee could be seen assisting Campbell, as the reel bent and pointed down toward the dark blue water.

Campbell fought with the fish for about 45 minutes, and then he was able to bring up his catch.
