Volusia County officials searching for missing teenager swimming in St. Johns River: VSO

First responders are searching for a teenager who went missing while swimming in the St. Johns River in DeBary on Saturday night in Volusia County, according to the Volusia Sheriff's Office.

A spokesperson for VSO confirmed to FOX 35 that officials were searching for a 16-year-old girl.

Several agencies responded to the area to help with the search, including Florida Fish and Wildlife, Port Orange Fire Department, and Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

FOX 35 cameras captured first responders searching the river on boats and via drone.

No other details were immediately released late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
