BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - A small plane that reportedly crashed into the water off the coast of South Florida has been found with a man inside, officials confirmed.
The U.S. Coast Guard and local law enforcement were looking for the Piper PA-28 near the Boynton Beach inlet on Sunday, news outlets reported.
A person reported the plane was sinking, but search crews did not immediately locate the aircraft, Coast Guard Petty Officer Jose Hernandez told the Palm Beach Post.

The plane was flying from Palm Beach County Park Airport to Merritt Island Airport, about 140 miles (225 kilometers) north, news outlets reported.
Local agencies are said to have found the aircraft near the Boynton Beach Inlet.
They later confirmed that a 24-year-old man was found inside the down aircraft.
