Man arrested after woman shot, killed at her Orlando apartment, police say

A man accused of shooting and killing a woman over the summer in Orlando has been arrested, according to police.

Tyrese Johnson, 33, was arrested Tuesday night on a charge of second-degree murder with a firearm.

On June 24, Johnson reportedly shot 51-year-old Joan Foster-Taylor, the Orlando Police Department said. Officers found her shot in her apartment located at 1017 S. Kirkman Road.

She later died of her injuries. 

At this time, the motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
