Two hurt in early morning Orlando shooting, OPD says

ORLANDO, Fla. - Two people were taken to a hospital early Sunday morning following a shooting, according to the Orlando Police Department.

It happened just before 2 a.m. in the 5700 block of Curry Ford Road where officers initially responded to a battery with a firearm, according to police.

Upon arrival, police found that two victims were shot and took themselves to an area hospital.

Police said a person of interest in the shooting was later taken into custody.

It is not yet known what led to the shooting.
