The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) confirmed that a train in Orlando struck a pickup truck.

They say that at about 6:05 a.m., a pickup truck was traveling across the train tracks at Landstreet and Orange Avenue. The pickup truck became disabled and the driver was able to exit the vehicle in time. A southbound moving SunRail train struck the pickup. After the collision, FHP said that the pickup truck was pushed into another vehicle.

There were no reported injuries on the train, which had 123 passengers and two crew members onboard. The pickup driver was also not injured, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

FDOT went on to say that the passengers on the train were transported to the Sand Lake Road station, where they boarded a separate northbound train. The train involved in the incident was placed out of service. Delays should be expected throughout the morning.
