Traffic stop ends in discovery of narcotics and an arrest

SANFORD, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - 22 grams of narcotics was found after a traffic stop in Sanford. 

The Sanford Police Department says that investigators performed a traffic stop on a Ford Mustang after they discovered the tag was assigned to a homemade trailer and not a Ford two door vehicle. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was Jorian Washington.

They say that Washington was advised for the reason of the stop and was asked for consent to search the vehicle, which he granted. Investigators located a hidden compartment during the search. Inside was a clear plastic bag containing multiple smaller plastic bags containing a tan in color cystalline substance believed to be suspected Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (molly). 

The suspected Methylenedioxypyrovalerone was reportedly field tested and yielded positive results. It had a total weight of 22 grams.

Washington was arrested and charged with Trafficking in MDPV (10 grams or more), Driving while License Suspended, and Attaching License Plate not Assigned.
