VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - All eastbound lanes on Interstate 4 in Volusia County have reopened after a four-vehicle crash left a motorcyclist dead Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. eastbound on I-4 at mile marker 113 – just before the SR-472 exit – in Deltona. Lanes reopened hours later shortly before 9 a.m.

In a news release, troopers said a 22-year-old Sebring man was riding a motorcycle eastbound on I-4 when he "failed to slow or stop" for a truck hauling a boat trailer ahead of him, striking the boat trailer.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle onto a paved median where he died, FHP said.
The motorcycle, however, ended up in another lane following the collision and was hit by a semi-truck and then a Hyundai Elantra.

Those drivers were not hurt in the incident and reportedly remained on scene.
Traffic homicide investigators are investigating the deadly crash.
