Titusville man dies in two-vehicle crash at Barna Avenue and Columbia Boulevard

What we know: A 50-year-old Titusville man died Wednesday evening following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Barna Avenue and Columbia Boulevard on State Road 405, according to police.

The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. when Erik R. Sayer, driving a white 2002 Toyota Camry, was struck on the passenger side of his vehicle by a westbound 1998 red Dodge Dakota truck, according to the Titusville Police Department.

Sayer, who was traveling north on Barna Avenue and crossing the intersection, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:02 p.m.

The driver of the Dodge Dakota, Alyssa D. Hall, 44, of Cocoa, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and authorities said additional details will be released as they become available.
