OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Three people were hit and killed as they were standing on the side of the road on the Florida Turnpike in Yeehaw Junction.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night at mile marker 191.
Troopers say a 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling north and lost control and went off road onto the right shoulder hitting a guardrail.
A Ford F-150 stopped to help out. Moments later another vehicle, a 2009 Mercedes C300 came from behind swerved to avoid the Camry but ended off going off road as well and hitting two passengers that got out of the Camry and another passenger of the F-150 that got out to help.
A fourth vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf, approached the crash scene, also swerved to avoid the Camry but ended up hitting it as well. The Camry then in-turn hit the F-150.
The deceased individuals have been identified as 44-year-old Tamari Olmeda Lopez and 13-year-old Dylan Adalberto Pineiro of Altamonte Springs. They were traveling in the Camry. The third victim, the good samaritan has been identified as 30-year-old Jose Zuenigia-Garcia of Winter Haven.
No charges have been filed at this point as the investigation is pending.
