Teen shot in the leg during Orange County shooting
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A teen was shot in the leg on Monday in Orange County.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office says that their deputies responded to a shooting on Powers Drive at about 6:12 p.m. on July 9th. They say that upon arrival, deputies located a 14-year-old victim, who was shot in the leg. The teen was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say that the suspect fled the scene on foot and was unable to be found.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says that the family members and the victim at the scene were uncooperative with the investigation. A Declaration of Intent (DOI) was signed because the victim and family did not want to press charges.
