Tavares police detectives say son fatally shot father during dispute

TAVARES, Fla. - Tavares police officers say a man killed his own father in a domestic dispute.

Crime scene investigators spent the better part of Tuesday evening at a residence along Marsh Harbor Drive, where around 6 p.m., the say Matthew Perez shot and killed his father, Joaquin.

The adult son is in custody and being questioned.  Charges are pending.
