COCOA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Detectives with the Cocoa Police Department have identified a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred last week.
Joshua Reece Wilson Keravuori, 18, is 5 feet, 8 inches talls and weighs approximately 150 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Detectives are working with the U.S. Marshal’s Office to locate him.
On February 6, Keravuori was seen checking into the Dixie Motel, at 301 Forrest Avenue, in Cocoa. He was with the victim, Terry Hilliard, 65, of Ocala. Hilliard’s body was discovered just after 11 a.m. the following morning, inside the motel room. By then, the suspect had fled the area in the victim’s vehicle, a black Chevy Cruz.
The vehicle was recovered in Hialeah that afternoon. The suspect is believed to have also fled the South Florida area.
Detectives have followed numerous leads at locations outside the State of Florida but have so far been unable to locate the suspect. His last known location was in Silver Springs, Maryland.
“We need anyone who knows Mr. Keravuori, who can provide relevant information to contact us as soon as possible,” said Sgt. Doug Levine of the Criminal Investigations Division. “If anyone has seen him in the last 24-48 hours please contact us. Do not approach him or speak with him. He could be armed and we do consider him dangerous.”
