CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - SpaceX successfully launched another satellite from Florida on Wednesday.
The goal of Egypt's Nilesat 301 communications satellite is to provide large areas of the Middle East, East Africa, North Africa, and Sudan with communications and digital broadcasting services.
The satellite was carried into orbit by a Falcon 9 rocket, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission previously supported the launch of GPS III Space Vehicle 04, GPS III Space Vehicle 05, Inspiration4, Ax-1, and two Starlink missions. After stage separation, the first stage landed on the Just Read the Instructions droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. It marked the seventh landing for this particular rocket.
