Watch again: SpaceX launches Thuraya 4 mission from Florida
ORLANDO, Fla. - SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 rocket Friday night, carrying the Thuraya 4 satellite to a geosynchronous transfer orbit.
Liftoff occurred at 8:27 p.m. Eastern from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The launch marked the 20th flight for this Falcon 9 first-stage booster, which previously supported missions including SES-22, ispace's HAKUTO-R Mission 1, and 13 Starlink deployments.
After stage separation, the first stage successfully landed on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean.
