Smiling drunk driver arrested after causing fatal crash

OCALA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - An accused drunk driver, who was smiling in her mugshot, is now facing DUI manslaughter charges.

44-year-old Angennette Welk turned herself in Saturday afternoon following a crash last week on Highway 27 near Ocala. 

The Florida Highway Patrol says that Welk's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

She was initially released on $10,000 bond, but the Ocala Star Banner reports that Welk was re-arrested on Saturday after the 60-year-old woman involved in the crash died from her injuries.
