NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Just call her 'Super Serena.' Tennis star Serena Williams says she chased down a man Tuesday evening who ran off with her cell phone while she was eating at a restaurant with a friend.

According to Williams, her 'Superhero' senses kicked in and she kept an eye out for a man who was oddly standing near her table while her phone sat on a chair.

"When least expected low and behold this common petty thief grabbed my phone and swiftly left... I jumped up, weaved my way in and out of the cozy restaurant (leaping over a chair or two) and chased him down. He began to run but I was too fast. (Those sprints came in handy) I was upon him in a flash! " wrote Williams on her Facebook page.

When Williams asked the man for the cell, he responded that he "must have grabbed the wrong phone."

Williams, who tagged her sister, Venus Williams, and friend and fellow tennis star, Caroline Wozniacki on the post, said she returned to a standing ovation at the restaurant.
