Repairs on westbound I-4 at Conroy Rd cause delays
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Repairs to a depression in westbound lanes of Interstate 4, near Conroy Road, caused longer than the usual delays for commuters during Wednesday afternoon's rush hour.
Travelers were encouraged to plan an alternate route as crews continues to patch the depression that formed just west of the Conroy Road entrance ramp onto westbound I-4. Multiple lanes were closed.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) says that they were able to make a temporary fix to get through Wednesday morning. They started Tuesday night on the permanent fix.
The detour route is to take Vineland Road and then follow signs to the I-4 ramp.
All lanes were expected to be back open by morning rush hour on Wednesday, but the repairs were delayed. They are now expected to last into the evening This will create traffic on westbound I-4 just south of Orlando.
