ORLANDO, Fla. - Calling all sandwich lovers! Popular sandwich chain Potbelly has opened its first Orlando location.
The new Potbelly location will be located at 2714 E. Colonial Drive in the Milk District's Colonial Landing Plaza, according to a press release. A grand opening ceremony was held Tuesday, Jan. 23.
This marks the fourth location in Florida, which are all located in the Tampa area. It's also the first of many Orlando locations to come – 12 more are slated to open in the next seven years. As far as Florida goes, Potbelly also has nearly 50 locations in various stages of development throughout the state.
"Having called Orlando home for more than 15 years, I am thrilled about bringing a brand that commands a cult following to this vibrant city. Potbelly is a leader in the sandwich category and our community is buzzing about its arrival," said Shari Nasir, co-owner of the new Orlando shops. "Introducing Potbelly to Central Florida lets us share the joy of toasty sandwiches, delightful salads, hand-dipped shakes and freshly baked cookies. I’m confident our first location in the middle of Orlando’s busy shopping area will become a beloved mealtime destination."
The first 50 guests at the grand opening ceremony received a free sandwich coupon for their next visit each day through Jan. 26.
The Orlando location will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
