Police: Woman struck man with golf club

Orlando police officers say Latanya Oliver's daughter was fighting with a girl outside a home on Sunset Drive  on Thursday night, when the girl's brother came out to break it up.

Witnesses told investigators that the boy was trying to stop his sister from fighting, when Oliver grabbed the golf club and hit him.   That woman was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated child abuse. She was released from the Orange County Jail Friday on a $5,000 bond.

The boy was treated at Arnold Palmer Hospital with a cut on his head.  Sharon Troche said her son received 13 staples for the laceration on his head.  Torche said, instead of resorting to violence, Oliver should've handled things differently.

"When you're an adult, you could've come to me and talk to me," she said.

Oliver lives three doors down from Troche, she had no comment when we knocked on her door.
