Police search for clues in cold case murder
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Orlando Police sent out surveillance video on Thursday from a murder that happened nearly two years ago -- a gunman caught on camera firing shots that ended a man’s life.
The week before her husband’s birthday, Tanya Webb spends the afternoon arranging flowers on his grave.
“I definitely love my husband. I miss him a lot,” said Webb.
His final moments were captured on surveillance video. Jeffrey Webb was gunned down in front of a Kwik Stop in North Lane Plaza in Orlando in December 2016. To this day, Orlando Police have not made any arrests. They and the man’s widow hope the video will help crack the case.
“I need justice, and I need justice to be served,” said Webb.
Orlando Police re-released the surveillance video hoping someone would reach out with information. The case is still considered an open investigation, and Tanya Webb wants to keep it that way.
Her biggest fear is that the case goes cold.
“He got caught in the cross fire and ya'll know out there who killed Jeff. Ya'll know who killed. what is the problem? Why can't no one come forward?”
She dreads next week, which would have been her husband’s 49th birthday.
“It’s going to be hard of course.”
But she promises to keep fighting for him and to keep his memory alive.
