CASSELBERRY, Fla. - Police are searching for a man who was caught on camera snatching a purse from a woman in Casselberry.
On December 30, around 6:48 p.m., police said they were dispatched to I Device Repair at 2525 Howell Branch Dr to a report of a robbery. They said a 76-year-old woman went to the iDevice Repair store in Casselberry trying to buy a cell phone case.
While she was in the store, another man inside followed her to the parking lot and grabbed her purse, dragging her to the ground. The whole attack was caught on surveillance video.
"I locked the store right after I let her in, because she was covered in blood on her hands because she was pulled to the ground," said iDevice Repair owner Jeremy Elizondo, after the traumatized woman fled back inside the store.

Elizondo said the thief seemed to make-off with important documents that were also inside the purse. "She was screaming," he said, "saying help, oh my god, my documents."
Casselberry Police Capt. William Nas said the thief left a lot of evidence behind, including a broken cell phone he brought in for repairs. He said they've told the victim that it's only a matter of time before they get him. "She's gonna be okay. Our investigators met with her and checked on her and offered any services, let her know the status of the case. No serious injuries, thank god. We're looking forward to hopefully having some good news for her soon that we made an arrest."
Casselberry Police are asking for anyone with more information about this snatch-and-grab to please call Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
