ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A man died Tuesday after his vehicle went over an overpass and fell onto the Interstate 4, according to Orlando Police Department.
Investigators said the man was traveling westbound on I-4 before exiting onto the transition ramp to State Route 408, where his vehicle then went over one of the sidewalls and fell onto I-4.
That man was later identified by police as 24-year-old Arcadio Shakur De Jesus.
The crash closed portions of both freeways, including the I-4 express lanes for a time. Both have since reopened.
Family members told FOX 35 that De Jesus recently moved to Orlando, worked at a local restaurant, and aspired to be a chef and open his own food truck one day.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but citing the preliminary investigation, authorities believe speed may have been a factor.
"During the preliminary investigation, the car was probably going too fast and went up and over the barrier and fell down," said Orlando Police Sgt. Ross Hutto.
