Plane crashes into vehicle, 3 people killed
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Three people have died after a plane crashed in a parking lot near Hobby Airport in southeast Houston, the Houston Fire Department has confirmed. The flight originated out of Norman, Oklahoma, FOX 26 News has learned.
Traffic in the intersection of Telephone Road and Airport Boulevard is affected by the reported crash in the parking lot of Ace Hardware.
The crashed plane was a single-engine SR-22, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration. The Houston Police Department is the lead agency in the investigation into the crash that was reported at around 1:12 p.m. Thursday.
