Pilot rescued after helicopter crashes in Lake Apopka, officials say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A helicopter crashed into Lake Apopka early Tuesday morning, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

Officials say the pilot was brought to shore by a private boat and was the only person on board. The pilot is being checked for injuries. 

A medical helicopter is at the scene to assist.
