DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A 23-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly shot an 18-year-old while walking to school Wednesday morning in Daytona Beach, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.
Police said the teen was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. The shooting happened shortly after 9 a.m. on Mason Avenue.
Late Wednesday, Daytona Beach police said a 23-year-old man had been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Bodycam video shared on the police department's Facebook page shows the moment Richardson was taken into custody. He was pulled out of the back of a vehicle and quickly placed in handcuffs. You can watch the video in the player above.
