MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies said a man "intentionally" drove through the front doors of a Florida jail, poured oil on the ground, and dropped several rubber snakes, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.
It happened earlier this week at the Martin County Jail in Martin County, which is located in southeastern Florida.
According to sheriff's office, 40-year-old Joseph Leedy drove across the parking lot, across the entrance walkway, and into the front of the jail's lobby.
He then allegedly poured motor oil on the lobby floor and said he wanted to set it on fire. He also threatened to "kill everyone," the sheriff's office said, while also throwing rubber snakes onto the floor. Deputies said he had no pants on, and was wearing a women's blouse.
Deputies said no one was inside the lobby at the time, and that the man was not able to get through the steel security doors of the jail.
He was arrested and booked into jail on four counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief.
