Person drives car into water because they are unfamilar with parking lot
INDIAN BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The City Indian Harbour Beach Police Department reported that they responded to a water rescue on October 1st at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club.
Upon arrival, they said that they found that the victim had been rescued by staff of the yacht club. The rescuers said that the victim drove the car into the boat ramp during a heavy rain.
The driver said that he was unfamiliar with the parking lot and made a bad turn.
The staff rushed into action, broke the car window open, and pulled the victim to safety before the car was completely submerged.
It was removed the next day in the daylight.
