Palm Coast man arrested for grand theft auto following police surveillance
ORLANDO, Fla. - A 23-year-old habitual offender was arrested Friday evening after Flagler County deputies recovered a stolen vehicle in Palm Coast.
What we know: The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Problem Area Crime Enforcement (PACE) Unit was notified by the Ormond Beach Police Department that a stolen vehicle had possibly entered the county.
The suspect, 23-year-old Glib Fedotov, of Palm Coast, was identified as the driver.
According to authorities, Fedotov is a repeat offender with multiple arrests since 2021 for crimes including burglary, possession of fentanyl, and trespassing.
Detectives located the stolen vehicle parked near an empty lot on Woodhollow Lane, close to a residence where Fedotov was known to reside.

Surveillance was conducted on the vehicle, and within 30 minutes, Fedotov exited the residence, walked down the street, and entered the car.
Deputies, with assistance from the K-9 Unit, conducted a felony stop on the vehicle.
Fedotov was arrested without incident and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle.
"This is yet another example of great teamwork by our PACE Unit and our law enforcement partners," Sheriff Rick Staly said in a statement. "This repeat offender is now back behind bars, where he belongs."
Fedotov was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
