ORLANDO, Fla. - A Palm Coast woman has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the overdose death of a 22-year-old man found unresponsive in Belle Terre Park last year.
What we know: Stephanie Raimundo, 48, was arrested on Jan. 8, 2025, following a yearlong investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Major Case Unit. Authorities allege she sold the fentanyl that caused the death of Calvin Stull, whose body was discovered on Jan. 3, 2024.
Timeline:
- Deputies responded to a 911 call on January 3, 2024, reporting an unresponsive man on a park bench under the pavilion at Belle Terre Park.
- First responders pronounced Stull dead at the scene. Identification found on his person confirmed his identity.
- According to investigators, Stull was seen traveling north on Belle Terre Parkway before entering the park on the afternoon of Jan. 2, 2024.
- Narcotics, later confirmed to be heroin and fentanyl, were found in his pocket during an examination by the medical examiner.
- The Special Investigations Unit joined the case to trace the source of the drugs. Detectives identified Raimundo, a known drug dealer, as a suspect.
- A search warrant executed on Jan. 5, 2024, at her residence on Plainview Drive uncovered significant quantities of fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana.
- Raimundo and a second individual, Charles Brockhaus, were arrested on multiple drug charges.
- Following an extensive investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Raimundo, charging her with manslaughter in Stull’s death.
The warrant was served at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where she has been held without bond since her initial arrest.
She now faces 14 charges related to manslaughter and drug trafficking.
What they're saying: "We are committed to holding poison peddlers accountable who contribute to the ongoing drug problem in our community, especially those who kill someone by selling the fatal dose of poison," Sheriff Rick Staly said. "Thanks to the diligent work of our Major Case Unit, SIU detectives, and Real Time Crime Center analysts, we were able to piece together the events leading to this death and take action against the woman responsible."
Raimundo remains in custody as she awaits further legal proceedings.
