Palm Bay residents bank accounts compromised after paying utility bill

PALM BAY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Hackers are out there to cause you a lot of trouble and one Central Florida man had to learn the hard way.

The City of Palm says that four of their customers were trying to pay their utility bills when their banking information was comprised.

The customers believe that their cards were compromised after paying their bills online, but the city has found no evidence that their system was compromised. 

The city is asking its customers to not use third party sites to pay their utility bills. They say to use pay.palmbayflorida.org.
