Orlando Weather Forecast: Dec. 19, 2003

Clear skies and another cold night is in store, with lows in the 50s along the beaches, 40s around the Orlando area, and 30s from The Villages up to Ocala and Gainesville.

Clear skies and another cold night are in store, with lows in the 50s along the beaches, 40s around the Orlando area, and 30s from The Villages up to Ocala and Gainesville.

The wind will still be brisk out of the NE at 10-20 MPH. Right along the immediate beaches, the wind may be more out of the east, which will keep the temperatures a bit milder there.

Orlando Weather Forecast

Tonight's low: 47 degrees | Tomorrow's high: 62 degrees

There will still be a bit of a breeze on Wednesday, making it feel cooler than it actually is. Air temperatures are in the mid-high 60s everywhere. Mostly cloudy as well, with more moisture higher up in the atmosphere. A 10% chance of a sprinkle or a rain shower along the I-95 corridor. Showers and sprinkles should not make it much past I-95, and I do not see any of them making it all the way toward Orlando or the central areas.

BEACHES:

Highs hit in the upper 50s. It's still a bit breezy from the north, making things feel cooler. Surf is in the 2-4' range.

THEME PARKS:

It will be chilly, mostly cloudy, and in the high 60s. It should remain dry for the entire day.

OUTLOOK:

The next few nights remain on the chilly side, but afternoon highs slowly moderate back into the 70s by the end of the week. Each afternoon, a 10% chance for a brief shower or sprinkle exists along the immediate beaches.

The next notable rain chance arrives sometime late from Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. The specific amount of rain and coverage remains uncertain, but at least some rain action everywhere seems like a good bet.

Temperatures get back into the low 70s at Christmas and possibly mid-70s on December 26. At this time, strong storms do not seem possible, but a few rumbles of thunder are possible with the showers around Christmas. It will turn gusty again, with SE winds likely to be on the order of 10-20 mph next Monday and Tuesday.

Another chance of rain could materialize around New Year's weekend, looking further out into the future. Highs by Friday should settle at or even eclipse 70 degrees with some scattered clouds. Temps will rise into the 70s by the coming holiday weekend in advance of another storm system.
