ORLANDO, Fla. - Expect unusually warm and humid conditions overnight, with a chance of passing rain showers.
On Tuesday, Central Florida will see mixed clouds and sunshine, breezy and humid with highs reaching the mid-80s.
LOOKING AHEAD: It will be warm and humid through Wednesday, with the possibility of a few rain showers drifting in from the Atlantic, particularly along the Space Coast.
A cold front moves through on Friday, bringing cooler, drier air for the weekend. Highs will dip into the 70s on Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of sunshine. Overnight lows will drop to the 50s in central Florida and into the 40s for areas from Gainesville northward.
Tracking the Tropics
The remnants of Rafael have dissipated, but lingering effects will bring rain and storms to Louisiana and the Gulf Coast this week.
There’s a rising chance (60%) of a new tropical system forming in the Caribbean this week, with favorable conditions for development.
If it strengthens, it could become Tropical Storm Sara by the end of the week in the central or western Caribbean. Long-term projections are uncertain, with some models indicating a possible path into the Gulf of Mexico, while others suggest it could move across the Caribbean and into the Atlantic next week.
Regardless of the path, a hurricane could emerge from this system, and Florida will need to monitor it closely.
