Orlando weather: Mix of sun, clouds, brief showers possible on Wednesday

Orlando Weather Forecast: Nov. 12, 2024

A passing shower is possible on Wednesday. Temperatures will stay in the 80s through the weekend ahead of a cold front that will impact Florida.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Tuesday night will present clear skies with temperatures around 70 degrees.

On Wednesday, a mix of sun and clouds, with highs in the low to mid-80s. A brief shower is possible, with east winds at 10 to 15 mph.

LOOKING AHEAD: Warm conditions continue through Thursday. A cold front is expected Friday, potentially bringing a shower as humidity drops by Friday night. Highs will return to the 70s this weekend, with morning lows in the 50s across the area. The weekend looks dry with plenty of sunshine.

We'll see another dip in temperatures on Friday and into the weekend with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. 

Morning lows will even fall back down into the 50s for most throughout the weekend as well.

Tracking the Tropics

A tropical depression is likely to develop by Wednesday in the central Caribbean, with a possible upgrade to a tropical storm by Thursday and potentially a hurricane by Friday. The storm is expected to linger near the coasts of Honduras and Nicaragua this weekend. Its strength will depend on how close it remains to land: if it stays offshore, it could become a major hurricane; over land, it would weaken.

More details will unfold in the coming days, but there's an increasing chance that Florida could face tropical weather impacts next week from what is likely to be named Tropical Storm or Hurricane Sara.
