Orlando weather: Isolated showers to linger into overnight hours in Central Florida

Orlando Weather Forecast: June 20, 2023

Orlando and Central Florida will see our rainy weather pattern continue through the week. An additional two to four inches are possible and that will likely bring the threat of flooding.

Tonight's low: 74 degrees | Tomorrow's high: 89 degrees 

Main weather concerns: Isolated storms are expected to linger into the evening hours in the Orlando metro. Heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds are possible. There is also the chance for small hail or a brief tornado. An additional two to four inches of rain are possible and will likely bring the threat of flooding.

BEACHES: Showers and storms are likely at the beach on Wednesday. Coverage will be at around 90% beginning in the afternoon. Stay weather aware as heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds are possible. Forecast highs will hit the upper-80s. Winds could be breezy at times with gusts up to 20 mph. There is a low rip current risk with a surf height of around one foot.

THEME PARKS: Stay weather aware at the theme parks on Wednesday. Storm chances rise to 90% in the afternoon. Heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning are possible. When thunder roars, go indoors. Highs will be near 90 degrees today, stay hydrated.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: The FOX 35 Storm Team is monitoring Tropical Storm Brett and Invest-93L. Tropical Storm Bret has sustained winds of 45 mph and is moving west. Invest-93L is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

Bret was forecast to strengthen into a hurricane by Thursday morning but the National Hurricane Center now believes that both Bret and Invest 93-L will be weakened by wind shear and the Saharan Dust.
