Orlando weather: Arctic air could bring Florida's coldest weather of the year, temps may reach freezing levels

It will be clear, cool and breezy overnight. Cooler air starts to settle into the region dropping our temperatures through the 40s across the region tonight.

Frost advisories and freeze warnings have been issued for parts of North Central Florida.

On Friday, temperatures will warm up into the 60s over most of Central Florida.

What is the weekend forecast for Orlando?

Keeping the sunshine rolling through the rest of the week and into the weekend!

High pressure sitting over the Midwest will pull cooler and drier air into the region and that will drop our highs into the low 60s this weekend and lows will linger in the 40s.

LOOKING AHEAD: A shot of warmer air pops our temperatures into the 70s on Monday, but this warm-up will not last long.

Monday is our next chance of rain as a cold front passes through and this will take the frigid Arctic air in Northern Canada and funnel it into the southeast.

In the middle of January, models are suggesting that we will see a significant cold snap.
