A few storms are possible into the evening hours on Wednesday. The days will remain hot and things will dry out for a couple of days before moisture moves back into the area this weekend.

MAIN WEATHER CONCERNS:
A muggy morning will be followed by hazy skies as more Saharan dust covers our skies in a veil of whitish, brownish particulates. There will be isolated strong storms in the afternoon, packing locally torrential rain, frequent dangerous lightning (even outside the storm, up to 10 miles), and gusty winds. Feels-like temperatures will reach 104° making for dangerous heat.

Hot and muggy morning to be followed by a hot and potentially stormy afternoon. Hydrate!
WHAT IS THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BEACHES IN CENTRAL FLORIDA?
Skies should remain storm-free Thursday. The rip current risk is low to moderate. Surf resides in the 1-3 inch range. Highs on the sand head for the upper 80s. Water temps hovering around 84 degrees.
LOOKING AHEAD:
A weak trough will approach this weekend, displacing the Saharan dust and making for much higher rain chances. Expect numerous afternoon storms by the time Saturday arrives, as we resume a more typically busy rainy-season pattern.
Rain chances will develop on the west side of the state during this time and press steadily east, ending up on the Atlantic beaches. This could put a dent in the ongoing dry spell in that area.
TRACKING THE TROPICS:
The tropics still mainly quiet thanks to the Saharan Dust. A tropical wave now only has a 10% chance to develop, after earlier bullish forecasts for development.
