What will the weather look like on Friday?
What To Expect:
On Friday morning, temperatures will dip into the upper 50s to mid-60s across most of the region before a warm-up into the 80s by midday.
Central Florida will see warm, mostly sunny conditions on Friday afternoon before a cold front pushes through the region in the evening, bringing a chance of showers and possibly a non-severe thunderstorm.
Winds will shift from the southwest at 10 to 20 mph ahead of the front to the northwest overnight, remaining gusty on both sides of the system. While ominous clouds may be visible looking north on Friday evening, the risk of severe weather will stay concentrated near Jacksonville and the I-10 corridor.
What will the weather look like this weekend?
Looking Ahead:
The weekend promises nearly uninterrupted sunshine with highs in the 70s and low humidity.
Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s and low 50s early Sunday, marking a chilly start to the day.
A fast warm-up is expected next week, with highs nearing 90 by Monday and Tuesday. Despite the rising temperatures, humidity levels will remain low. No significant rainfall is expected in the near future, and ongoing drought conditions will likely worsen. Elevated wildfire risks are expected on breezy days in the coming weeks.
Afternoon highs as early as Monday will be warming into the mid to upper 80s.
